Collection: The Neriage Collection

This series is inspired by colour, movement and the joyful aesthetics of marbled porcelain. "Neriage" refers to mixing coloured clays together that are then thrown on a pottery wheel to create unique designs and patterns. Calico Moon clays are made by wedging powdered mason stain pigments into porcelain and then wedging them together in preparation for the wheel. Sometimes different coloured clays are mixed together (such as porcelain and granite). Colour combinations are carefully chosen but the end result is always a bit of a surprise and part of the fun! Each piece is carefully sanded and the exteriors of these pieces are left unglazed to reveal the beauty of the colours and the smoothness of the porcelain. All pieces are glazed on the interior and on the rim and handle for aesthetics and comfort.
